The Lowlander W are the first female all-inclusive LGBTQ+ rugby team in The Netherlands. Rugby is a sport with a place for all shapes, sizes and personalities. We play and party together, so be prepared for challenging trainings, exciting games but also for thrilling socials!

No experience at all? There is also a place for you on the pitch! We will properly introduce you to the game and make sure you feel comfortable on the pitch by the time you play your first game of rugby ever. If you do have experience, the diverse combination of players allows you to lift your skills and style of playing. Head coach makes sure there is a solid and entertaining training set up which allows everyone to train safely and improve their skills while enjoying themselves on the pitch

Right now, the Lowlander W are heading towards the Union Cup 2023. This is an European IGR tournament set for April in Birmingham, England. In the meanwhile, we prepare by training together and playing friendlies. Want to be part of the road to Union? Sign up!

When do we train?

The Lowlander Ladies train once per month on a Monday from 19.45-21.30 at the Amstelveense Rugbyclub (Sportlaan 25, Amstelveen). If you can’t get enough of the game, it’s possible to join the gents weekly on Tuesday and/or train with the women from Amstelveen on Thursdays. When exciting events are coming up, we increase the number of training.
