Inclusive Touch Rugby with the Amsterdam Lowlanders

A New Way to Play Rugby

The Amsterdam Lowlanders are excited to introduce Touch to our club! Touch is a fast-paced, minimal-contact version of the sport that welcomes players of all backgrounds, genders, and experience levels. Whether you’re new to rugby or a seasoned player looking for a different challenge, our team provides a fun, social, and inclusive space for everyone.

Why Play Touch Rugby?

  • Inclusive & Welcoming: Open to all genders and skill levels, fostering a diverse and supportive environment.
  • Non-Contact & Fast-Paced: Enjoy the excitement of rugby without tackling or scrums.
  • Great for Fitness & Fun: Improve agility, teamwork, and overall fitness in a friendly and engaging way.
  • Learn from the Best: Our team is coached by Barbara Garcia, a highly experienced player and the national director of referees in the Netherlands.

A Unique Addition to the Lowlanders

Touch is not just an alternative to traditional rugby—it complements the club’s existing teams by offering a new way to experience the sport. Players coming from rugby union will find new skills to master, while newcomers can enjoy the game in a supportive setting without the concern of full-contact play.
